Traditionally applied liquid soil treatments produce an uninterrupted chemical barrier in the soil surrounding both sides of the foundation in all factories and warehouses, as well as around the piers that protect the floor system. This barrier should keep foraging termites from damaging the foundation and timber structures. Only soil near this footing construction is treated.
Steel frames are termite-resistant, so builders may design a relatively safe house with one. Many steel-framed houses are unsecured and have termite infestations. The property suffered non-structural timber damage worth tens of thousands of dollars due to these infestations. Later, termites in steel homes typically go undetected because people think termites won't bother them.
Termites don't like steel frames, but they're not picky. They eat around a steel frame to discover natural materials. This natural structure attracts termites with skirting boards, in-house walls, built-in joinery, bath & shower voids, wardrobes, floorboard materials, and furnishings. All of which are abundant in new homes and ideal for a starving termite colony wanting to build sub nests and colonies under steel-frame dwellings.
Pre-construction termite prevention for existing roof trusses, refurbished townhouses, and single residences is Rapid's speciality. A certificate for part a or part b (3660.1) will meet Australian Standards if you're building a new home or adding a barrier to an expansion.
Part A is the most frequent termite protection, applied to penetration pipe collars and electrical conduit before the concrete slab is poured. Part b is when the slab is finished and a chemical perimeter barrier, reticulation system, or termite blanket is put in, depending on when you hire a termite business.
Chemical soil treatment and drill injection are termite treatments (3660.2). A soil barrier called Termidor Fipronil is used in this therapy. Chemical soil treatment is indicated. After tunnelling into the treated area, termites are controlled. Termite treatments are effective when termites invade your home.
Termite protection AS3660. 1 certificate of conformity is necessary for every building permit for a concrete slab, brick piers, roof trusses, new extension decking, or new concrete stumps when building a new or existing residence.
In the “pre-slab” phase, Part A will be used as a barrier.
At different phases of building, Part B allows additional chemical and/or physical goods around the dwelling.
